Today I’m going to share the second part of our tour of the Southern Living Idea house in Senoia, Georgia we visited over the weekend. If you missed the first post, you can read about it here.
This amazing restored farmhouse is located in the charming town of Senoia, Georgia. I can’t encourage you enough to go visit it if you live anywhere within driving distance….in fact, I’m going back again with my sister and daughter soon!
The pictures you see today are of the second floor of the house and the outside areas which are so Southern….and the landscaping is perfect!

As you go upstairs, there is a landing with this seating area

Here I’m standing where those black chairs are looking back toward the front of the house (notice the walls and ceilings)

This is what I called the boy’s room…that rug is from Ikea and is only $199!

These photos were on the little alcove wall going into the bathroom connected to the boy’s bedroom

A lot of attention to detail in this house and staying true to the period is so evident in the bathrooms

I loved the way there were several windows dressed in café curtains…I remember using them in my first house many years ago!

OMG, be still my heart! Across the hall was this gorgeous serene bedroom….I could be very happy in this room!

Look at that gallery wall behind the bed…and notice the planked walls here

This could be recreated very easily…using white frames and mats and black & white photos

See that sweet little wicker truck? I bought one at Ikea and can’t wait to show it to you!

The perfect old chippy table outfitted as a vanity….and I love the wall mounted faucets!

Custom shower curtains surround the claw foot tub

Here’s the screened in back porch…the screens can be lowered or raised with the push of a button!

This friendly lady was there representing the company that installed the screens

Billowy white curtains complete are so pretty out here

Old metal tub used for an oversized flower pot….this reminds me of things my grandmother used in her garden

Back to the front of the house the porch runs the length of the front

Sweet home Alabama….heading home after a full day of oohing and ahhing over the Southern Living Idea house and a quick visit to Ikea
I hope you enjoyed my tour of the Southern Living Idea house in Senoia, Georgia. If you get a chance to go you won’t be disappointed.
I’ve made a little (and I do mean “little”) progress in completing some projects around the house. Just not enough to share yet. Yesterday I kept my granddaughter, we shopped, ate lunch with David, visited with my mom, came home and baked a chocolate cake and took a nap! Today I had a leisurely morning around the house and had a hair appointment this afternoon….I’m loving my early retirement!
